Do u have files in meshes/armor/imperial/f ? If yes what mod modifies them? U could also open them in nifskope to check if everything's alright.

Another guess: if u had a plugin that edits vanilla armors meshes paths and u forgot to build its meshes in Bodyslide u'd probably ended up like that most likely (tho I've not tested it personally). Remodeled armor edits meshes paths but u dont have it in the list

No. Don't even that file and folder structure... But it's exactly the same problem as the other bloke who commented to clarify.

Im using the UNP HDT body, and have no idea on how to rebuild its meshes in Bodyslide, which sounds like it may be the culprit. How do I do that?

[–]Buck_Flizzard 3ポイント4ポイント  (0子コメント)

Body meshes cannot be ur problem, ur problem is armor meshes. Even if u had wrong body meshes the armor will show up but with wrist/neck seams. Ur problem most likely is armor mod that edits path to meshes for imperial armor, i.e.:

  • Default meshes path for imperial female armor is meshes/armor/imperial/f
  • You install plugin (.esp) which changes it to meshes/armor/super-skimpy-imperial-slutty-outfit/
  • The mod which contains this plugin comes with Bodyslide files which u supposed to build but u didn't
  • That's why overriden directory of new armor meshes is empty

First of all u need to find out what plugin changes paths of imperial amor. For this u need to load all ur plugins in TesVEdit tool and look for "Armor Addon" records in each plugin until u find which one changes "imperial armor".

Then turn off this plugin and test if it helped.

After that go to Bodyslide page for instructions on how to build armors.

Again it's just a theory. It also can be a plugin that just edits appearance of imperial captains and not the imperial armor directly. It can be a script that runs on game start and removes armors from their inventory etc....

They're just that badass.

I don't think it's a problem on the mesh side but a record (.esp) one. Try opening all your mods (tip: press shift when confirming which mods to load) on TES5Edit and see if there's anything changing the imperial armor, my guess is on the armor addon record but look on the armor record too.

Informative, but i have no idea what any of that meant. I only have used Tes5 with the beginners guide.

ELI5 version: So open up TES5Edit and select all of your plugins. When you hit okay to load them up, you can hold down shift while clicking the button and it will skip the lengthy process of building reference info (you don't need it for doing this sort of thing). Then, once it is all loaded up select the top Skyrim.esm and find the two records u/sorenant mentioned. Once you select one of those records, you will then see every plugin that makes a change to them in the right hand panel. That will help you to narrow down what is wrong.

I tried and couldnt make heads or tails of it. The only thing I could see that was affecting the npc (got her ref id thingy from the console) was EFP, so i deslected that in the modlist, repatched in wrye bash, started it back up and now EVERYONE is not wearing armour... so re-enabled that, removed the last mods i had put on creating this list ( basically setting it back to my previous state of things in a seperate MO profile) and shes STILL naked.

Oh, so i thought bugger it, ill validate my files. Only to find out that skyrim in steam is now renamed SKSE for some bloody reason and now wont let me do that either. so I may just backup the downloaded mods and do a clean install i reckon. start from scratch.

Whenever this happens to me, it is almost always a mod conflict. Rule of one is probably in effect causing something to break.

Easiest way to track this down is open tes5edit and look for either the guard ID under NPC, or if you know what the NPC should be wearing, look under the armor addon or the outfit.

Basically, these are the different places that a mod conflict can cause that problem:

FormID List - This is more likely with hair and faceparts.

Outfits - Something adds a cloak or torch, and the rest is overwritten.

Non-Player Character - the default outfit can get changed pretty often.

Armor - Changing the MODL will do it.

I do not have anything to suggest for your current problem, but your load order has some issues to look into.

  • First, it looks like you have not run LOOT recently since you have RDO, OBIS, and other patches higher than the main esps. This can cause major issues.
  • Second, you are showing esps related to Climates of Tamriel, ELFX - Weathers, and Vivid Weathers. It is highly inadvisable to use multiple weather overhauls at the same time.
  • Third, Follower Commentary Overhaul is mostly redundant with RDO and not really needed.
  • Fourth, I think the esps for Cloaks of Skyrim and Winter is Coming have been merged into Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade. I believe the information is on the main mod page but I will have to look later to be sure.

Righto, I've gone through and readjusted. hows this look to you now?

It looks you got most of them. You still have Follower Commentary Overhaul which has been replaced by Relationship Dialogue Overhaul. I would suggest removing it to avoid conflicts and redundancy. Also I think the Weapons and Armor True Level List esp should be unneeded when you create your bashed patch.

Yeh, I RTFM and sorted both out. Cheers mate!

I have almost the same problem in my skyrim. But In my game it's the Imperial Captains (not all, but most) that do not wear any armour, except for shields and helmets. Never figured out what the problem was, I thought I just "immerse" myself and say that the imperials are short on armour, so some of the Nords choose to fight bare chested and whatever the fuck else... Ehh. Not the best explanation, but why not.

[–]Greedeater[S] 1ポイント2ポイント  (4子コメント)

Exactly the same problem!!!

[–]Karl-TheFookenLegendWindhelm 1ポイント2ポイント  (3子コメント)

I forgot to mention - it's male captains, not females. Legate Rikke, for example is fully clothed. Imperials seem to oddly lack women in their armies anyways, so it would probably be much easier in your case to ignore that problem than in mine.

[–]CrazylittleloonQueen of Bats 0ポイント1ポイント  (2子コメント)

I'm not the only one to notice that!

I've been playing Skyrim since 2013, and I've seen entire Stormcloak squadrons made up of nothing but women, but I've yet to see more than one or two women at a time in Imperial squadrons.

[–]Yuzumi 3ポイント4ポイント  (1子コメント)

That actually kind of makes sense. Even in the oddly equal society given the type of time period that Tamriel has you'd be less likely to send in women to invade or occupy a foreign nation.

Meanwhile there would be a lot more women who would be up for defending their nation from an invader.

Talos Damn, man 230 mods!

I'm on a laptop and use half of those mods and I'm a little jealous.

I think this needs to be added to the metapost "Nightmares of Skyrim".
