Leave trail, line pockets: Trump campaigns for hotel

1 Vote for luxury

Donald Trump took a break from campaigning on Wednesday to attend a ribbon-cutting at his hotel in Washington DC. “My theme today is five words: under budget and ahead of schedule,” he said. That’s six words.

2 Clinton widens lead in AP poll

It’s a good thing Trump can’t count, because he might lose heart to read a new AP poll showing Hillary Clinton with a 14-point national lead among likely voters, 51-37. The same poll had her up six points last month. Polling averages have her up by six.

3 Trump defends hotel detour

“Nobody complains when Clinton goes to an Adele concert,” Trump told ABC News. “I can’t take one hour off to cut a ribbon at one of the great hotels in the world?” Adele dedicated a concert Tuesday to Clinton’s 69th birthday, which is today.

4 'Congratulations, Newt'

Trump stopped his hotel ceremony to praise Newt Gingrich for accusing Fox host Megyn Kelly of a “fascination with sex” instead of policy. Kelly had been asking Gingrich about sexual assault claims against Trump.

'We don't play games'

By the way, congratulations Newt on last night. That was an amazing interview. We don’t play games, right? We don’t play games.

Trump’s star on the Hollywood walk of fame was attacked with heavy tools by a man dressed as a construction worker who told journalists at the scene that women in his family had been sexually abused.

Be sure to head to the polls for GOP Senate, House and statehouses; they are essential to defend and advance constitutional conservatism.
