Question about Bastian (self.reddevils)

Is anyone able to explain why he wouldnt be a good CM partner to Pogba or Herrera? Even playing in a triangle with those 2?

Not even having him on the bench as an option.

Is there any info out there as to why? It really makes no sense to me.

Mou doesn't want him here. Not sure if he doesn't fit his system or doesn't rate him, but his plans don't include playing Bast in the squad.

He's not the player he once was but I think it's abosolutely mental to not play Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, and Carrick on a rotating basis. I don't think they are capable of playing weekly but any of those three when fit should be at least on a bench. They are experienced players, especially Bastian who's won everything and Carrick who is one of the most underrated players to put on an England or United shirt in a couple of decades. One or two of them could play with Herrera in the middle of the pitch, while Pogba and hopefully Mkhitatyan can play near the striker.
