Most of them have too much to lose to engage in any violence. They will just join the continued bubbling anger and conspiratorial thought that has thus far come to dominate the Republican party.

Some of them either do not have enough to lose, or have already lost what little they had, and will engage in violence. Cf. the planned bombing in Kansas. This element of American city will never really depart, it is part of their national identity. The problem is that Trump has done a great deal to fan the flames.

It's still worry some. Back in 2012 it was comical when all the "unskewing" happened, but this time it genuinely feels like a complete disconnect from reality...

You know, facts doesn't matter, it's about feelings. I feel that white people are oppressed and crime is going up. I just feel it.

Really depends on what Trump does. If he goes off the deep end, so will they. If he calms the fuck down, they will too. Hopefully his daughter or someone can talk some sense into him. Either that, or hopefully the next scandal will destroy his base supporters.

I go back and forth on this one... part of me thinks they are a bunch of keyboard gangsters with no follow-through. But for every 999 keyboard gangsters, maybe you get one crazy one that is an actual threat. Crazy enough to do what? I don't know. But if the government is really as invasive and conspiratorial as they make it out to be, I think we'll all be safe and fine. What are the chances that these guys drive 3 hours to the nearest major city to actually do anything? Not good, I'm guessing.
