Is there a precedent in football, wherein a club has had a slump similar to that which Manchester United are now in? Great success during the reign of a long time manager and then changing managers after managers post his retirement. Even though the names are there on paper, the team fails to perform year in year out.

It's happened but never has a club had the sheer funds and fan base that we possess (in this position ill add). We're the biggest club in the world and we're gonna regain our platform. Times are tough that's the way life is sometimes. Just you watch.

We're the new Man United. Sir Alex was a freak of nature and we had no right to be so successful over such a long period of time. We were, and we have finally had to experience some real footballing difficulties. I doubt it will be too long until we are at least challenging again, though.

Many top clubs went trough this periods, this league is not forgiving like some others Spain or Germany so we will get trough this and come back even stronger.
