So my psychology teacher was just talking about this the other day and he mentioned a girl born in Sweden who believed she was Anne Frank. There's a pretty good article about it here: http://www.iisis.net/index.php%3Fpage%3Dsemkiw-anne-frank-barbro-karlen-reincarnation-past-life

We also watched an old Oprah episode about Brian Weiss and his work in bringing out past life regressions from people. Basically, helping people remember past lives. He wrote a book about his experiences and I'd really like to read it. My psych teacher went to one of his seminar type things a few years back where he tries to hypnotize (note: this is hypnosis as focusing on something while in a very relaxed state) the entire audience and get them to remember an event from their past lives. He went into more detail about this, but my teacher said he was able to remember being a young woman in the medieval era in a castle and how she died - she was beheaded by a soldier.

Before he started talking about any of this he of course told us to be skeptics, to think about what else it could be, etc, and he himself is still very much a skeptic, but he found the experience very unique.

I've never experienced anything concrete with reincarnation and honestly I'd barely given it any thought before my psych teacher brought it up, but I have had a dream (where I was not myself) that stands out to me as being more like a memory, mostly because of the clarity of the memories I had within the dream and the strong emotion.

Wow, I just watched that Brian Weiss interview. That was actually really interesting!

I never used to believe in reincarnation until the last 5 years, now Im positive everyone reincarnates until they evolve to a certain state. I never said anything odd that my mom took notice of...BUT one day when I was 4 out of nowhere I started hallucinating snakes and worms all over the floor. I wasnt sick, no fever, she took me to the Dr. For no reason, I was just hallucinating. This went on for a solid week. I never had answers, so I went to a psychic a year ago. I told her I had a childhood issue that I need answers about. She said "where you hallucinated"? (So I knew she was legit) Apparently, in my last life, I was a child and running around the countryside when I fell into a dry well. No one heard my screams and I died down there. I was full of worms and snakes.

Oh yeah. I have a few memories that aren't of this life, also I've done searches of children who have past life memories that fade after the age of ten. My grandparents have told me and I have no recollection of saying it, but I guess when I was about 4 or 5 they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said a bank robber. I told them I was one before and got shot and died.

My grandma keeps journals, and she wrote down stuff I said and did when I was a kid and it's written down. They are in their mid seventies and they still remember me saying it.

Wow, it's really awesome to have grandparents that keep track of stuff like that! It would be so cool to know what you were saying at that age!

Yeah it is awesome. She even kept track of my brother too and if reincarnation exists, I feel like he's a living example of it. He's always had a fascination with the army. His favorite war is the American Civil War. I remember him talking about battles fought when he was 3. Every Halloween he wanted to be a Union soldier. I believe he was in the civil war in a past life.

He eventually got involved with the army enlisting when he was 18. When he got out with an honorable discharge, the strangest thing he said was "a lot has changed" like me he still retains some memories. We both have photographic memory. I have a memory of world war 2 myself.

Can you tell me about that memory? :o

I was running with people. It's dark, I hear a distinctive siren going off, hear and see explosions, I saw German soldiers and I hear the name Hitler a few times. I've had dreams of this all my life, and it's ingrained as a memory.

My brother suggests I was at Normandy beach. I think I was in an air raid. I don't remember gun fire. Just explosions.

The interesting thing about it is, I'm a bit obsessed with German culture. I love German chocolate. I listen to a lot of German music especially rammstien. I'm not German. My ancestry is native American and Scottish. So where I get my taste for German I have no idea.

Check out Ian Stevenson's work. He dedicated his life to discovering people who thought/felt they were reincarnated. He actually studied and IIRC spoke to the woman who claimed to be Anne Frank, who was mentioned in another post.
