Michael Moore is dismayed at the lack of enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton this year, telling Chris Hayes tonight he’s surprised how “first female president” isn’t a bigger deal for people.

Moore said that Clinton has done a lot in her life and deserves more credit for it, which is why it’s baffling to him that people aren’t as enthusiastic for her as they were for President Obama.

He went on to say “the knock on her has been unfair” and even this:

“She’s been attacked and harassed in abused in ways that I believe––honestly, if she were a man, she wouldn’t have had to go through so much of this.”
