The Real Problem with Paul Pogba (self.reddevils)

Before i get into this, dont downvote me to hell if there is a topic about this but I couldnt find one to post it in so here it goes..

Here is a heat map of Pogba v Man City and here is his heat map 2 years ago. As you can see they are completely opposite. Playing alongside Fellaini in the center of our midfield gives him 0 creativity around him meaning he would have to receive the ball from the defence and then dribble all the way to reach the final third and most of the time he gets tackled before then. However, at Juve (from what I have seen when he was there) he played alongside one of the best passers in the game, whether it was Marchisio and/or Pirlo thus meaning he could push up and wait for the ball to come to him. For Juve he would receive the ball in the final third and then play the killer pass or have a wicked long shot. I feel we need to play that 1 playmaker behind him in order to feed him which unfortunately we only have Herrera who is close enough to that style (Bilbao days). Mata isnt defensive minded enough to play there and Carrick is too old to play game in game out. Another thing is I feel he would play perfectly well in a 3 man midfield. Play Morgan, Herrera/Rooney and Pogba with the following roles:

Morgan : Offers complete protection of the defence allowing the other midfielders freedom with the ball and be able to push up. Similar to what Matic did when Chelsea last won the league

Herrera/Rooney: Can be the person who connects the final third with the defence. Both are very good at passing and have a very high footballing intelligence. Herrera would be my favourite option as I think he is absolutely amazing at what he does but however Rooney offers the leadership in the team which no one else does and which smalling didnt show in the Chelsea game

Pogba: To receive the ball in the oppositions half and then create from there rather than dribbling past everyone thinking he is Messi. Can receive the ball near the box, get past one and slot in the top corner like he used to for Juve or play those short lobbed passes he so very loves and is so good at.

Spot on mate. I wish Mourinho would give Morgan a chance to play with Pogba.

Herrera - pogba works well, and mata in the n0. 10 role will suit us well

In a diamond 4-4-2 (which is hybrid between a flat 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3), Pogba would be LCM while Herrera stands as RCM. Carrick/Schneiderlin would and should be our CDM.

How would you fill out the attacking 3? Mata as the attacking mid, with Martial and Rashford as left and right strikers? Shaw & Valencia would have to provide most of the width. You could also put Zlatan in Mata's position, since he tends to drop deep anyway.

Martial is a must as he can cover some of the left side and be given freedom to cut inside like Thierry Henry used to do. In the attacking mid position, I would let Mata and Mkhitaryan fight each other out (yes, Mkhi can play as a CAM). For the striker who stays up top, I would let Zlatan, Rashford and Rooney fight for one single spot.

We need a new formation. What I believe is that we need to play with a back 3. Please hear me out?

Bailley (injured), Smalling, Blind

Then we need Valencia and Shaw/Rojo

Above them we need to have Pogba, Hererra, Mata

Up top, we could do Zlatan/Rashford, or Zlatan/Martial, or Zlatan/Lingard, and this would depend on the game. Rooney could be in for Zlatan if necessary.
