Here is an example.

On occasion, right as i lay in bed for the night (she will either be up walking around or in bed with me) would ask me to go and turn off a light she forgot. Before, I would sigh and get up to do it. Now I say either, "you're up, you can handle it or you're legs aren't broken."

Another recent example of the dynamic shift:

I was laying in bed waiting for her to finish up her routine. She was walking in and AGAIN forgot to close a set of flicker tea lights (these are on a top shelf which she CAN reach if she just got on the sofa and turned off since she turned them on herself). She walked in and asked if I was in bed, I said I was and she said, "ok, I will take care of it instead"

If i was up and moving around, its easier for me to reach. However, my ass in bed and unless its physically impossible for her to do something, thats my boundary. It was pretty fucking satisfying to see a shit test i didnt even have to respond to.

Some of my favorite ways to pass the random nonsense shit tests now is to say "you are wearing to many clothes" or "I need you to be more lady-like (or graceful)"

Wife wanted to buy something expensive (>$1,000) sight unseen. I said we need to talk about it. She said there wasn't anything to talk about. I pointed out items A, B, C, D. When she repeated there was nothing to talk about, I said "If you can't even talk about it, then no."

~20 minutes later her attitude was more positive and friendly.

I think she just desperately needed a boundary.
