I have been working for months online, saving up my BTC. When I had over $1k worth of BTC I decided to exchange it to PayPal. I decided to have it exchanged 1:1 through LocalBitcoins because of it being more secure than other exchange methods (at least I thought so). So I had it exchanged through a reputable guy, and he even sent the email he recieved for sending the PayPal before I released the BTC to him. He was reputable, ID verified, years on LB, email, phone, etc all verified. Today I was notified by PayPal that the payment was under dispute for: "Unauthorized Use of PayPal Account or Transaction Error. The buyer has filed a claim stating this transaction was made without the account holder’s knowledge or consent or transacted in error."

I just opened a ticket on LB and they replied with this...

"I'm very sorry you had this poor trading experience.

I have suspended this user. What it currently means, is that they have been notified of their suspension, they can log in, but will be unable to trade. They can however, contact us and to contact any trading partners (you).

They unfortunately do not have any bitcoin in their wallet which means we cannot reimburse you for this trade.

I'm very sorry for this situation. I hope this user logs in and contacts you to fix this situation. If the user does not contact you I recommend that you open up a police report against the user."
