When are we (well you guys anyway) going to stop making excuses for them?

Another big game, another shit performance from the two. We brought them in to change our whole dynamics yet I have not seen anything of the sort.

Okay, yes, Pogba did score a screamer on Thursday but how many other times during matches do we see him losing the ball, being too slow and skying the ball into orbit. Likewise Ibra.

I'm sorry but it's just not good enough. Now, I know all you fanboys will tell me that we aren't even 10 games into the season, that our players aren't providing good enough balls to Ibra and that our midfield is holding back Pogba (even though we brought him in to be the pinnacle of or midfield but hey ho).

I'm not going to lie, I hadn't really watched either of them at their respective clubs before coming to us but what I did know were that they had amazing goal scoring records, that Pogba was just what we needed in terms of midfield, and like many others I bought into the hype.

You can make excuses until you're blue in the face but let's call a spade a spade- Pogba's performances haven't been reflective of his transfer fee and Ibra hasn't been any better.

They both have been below their standards, I'll say that much. Doesn't mean we should write them off, especially not Pogba given his age. But they need to find their form soon or the entire team will suffer because of it.

This is what I mean about excuses, age being a common one amongst united fans. It doesn't wash considering there are players around his age that have shown more brilliance than he has since returning to us.

EDIT: Furthermore his age didn't stop him from being an excellent player at Juventus

I don't think they're excuses, they are valid reasons. I can only think of 5-6 players in the world who can transfer to the premier league and make an instant impact. Whether you like it or not his age is a factor and it will take him time to adjust, the price tag might give us bigger expectations and make us more impatient, but as we have seen so far that is just the reality of the situation.

I'm not being condescending but I'm generally curious to know which players under 25 are truly brilliant other than Neymar?

I didn't mean neymar's level but I'm talking about players that are better than Pogba atm and have shown brilliance e.g KDB, rashford, mane etc.

Umm not make excuses when it is as clear as day that they just haven't been that good (this is an understatement- I have to play it down, you see, so people don't come for my head)

Pogba hasn't adapted to the fast-paced nature of the premier league. He always holds onto the ball for a second too long. If he can speed up his touches and movement, I think he can be a quality player in our side.

However, I don't see him as able to lead the rest of the players by commanding the midfield.

We just need to calm down. Ibra is out of form and Pogba isn't match fit. He's had no pre-season and so has been pushed into every match so far. He has been poor no question but he isn't going to hit the ground running especially with fatigue. We HAVE to win our next run of games.

Yes, I think Rashford should be starting up top and not on the wing. Mata should be starting as well.
