What matters now is the reaction. It's still early days and as plenty have pointed out, we're only 6 points behind. Other top teams are putting in poor performances and dropping points, too. Time will tell if this team is good enough to get back to the top, time will tell whether or not they deserve to. If they don't, that's too bad. We're not entitled to success, the team has to work for it. So if they can't, we'll enjoy the highs, suffer the lows, until the team is good enough to reach the top again. That's football.

I totally agree on the fatigue thing. We looked to ha e no gas or imagination from the outset. Not sure we were completely bottomed out but for sure less energetic than normal and Chelsea was on fire from the top. Looked much much fresher. City in 3 days is worrisome.

If nothing else they spend an ungodly amount of time practising football because they're contractually obliged to do so...

I have full confidence that they want to win the league, but whether they want it enough, or believe that they can is a different point entirely. Although I agree with a lot of what you're saying this club has had a problem for 3 years and 3 different managers now, not to mention hundreds of millions of pounds spent on so called superstars. We're collecting poor performance records like kid's participation trophies, and it's at a stage in which it's almost looking like we have some institutional inability to perform.

Regarding Pogba being caught on the ball and his decision making in general that's been discussed all season (2nd half of the City game when Fernando was brought on is probably the best example - his play led to 2 solid counter attacks City should have put away). He did it a fair bit at Juventus as well - he often doesn't play the simple ball first time and gets himself into trouble. He'll learn.

I agree with the rest of it about today's match. We were rocked early, missed chances and couldn't recover.
