This is the second time now that a thread regarding Sandy Hook families has been pulled. I do think there is something to be said about limited purpose public figures, and hopefully the admins will clarify what information crosses the line and what does not.

Who the fuck are the admins...they aren't the mods, so who are they? I really want to know the names of the admins, not because I'm being extreme, but because I want to know who runs the show around here.

We have been asked by two admins in the past 5 days to pull threads related to Sandy Hook victims.
The first request was by cupcake1713 and the second was by hueypriest. Any questions you have regarding the removals really need to be addressed by them.
The one big thing that is not okay by me is manipulation of the free flow of information. But they own the site and they have enumerated rules against supplying personal information which are (on the whole ahem predditors tumblr) applied evenly across the entire site. As such, if they want to come into this sub and pull a thread they have the right to do that.
They were kind enough to offer us explanations and a dialogue when they have pulled these two threads and, as far as I know from my habitual reloading of this subreddit, they have not touched any other content here in my tenure as a mod.

Yep, they own it and can do what they want. I get that. Doesn't mean I have to accept it.
Who are the admins? I mean, what do I have to do if I, also, want to become an admin? Or do you expect us to pretend this shit is legit and be happy with a few upvotes?

This was public information. I have a hard time supporting variable rules. Define what is personal. Define what criteria ultimately makes a public personality fair game to post publicly available information.
Otherwise, this shows that they are really pushing hard on Sandy Hook. Even more reason for the people to demand a full independent investigation of the event. The information released to date is an absolute joke.
