Trump Questions Whether Muslim Wife of Khizr Khan Was ‘Allowed’ to Speak

video

PicMonkey CollageDonald Trump has now provided a lengthier response to Khizr Khan criticizing him, and boy is it pretty out there.

You’ll recall Khan called out Trump for his anti-Muslim rhetoric and held up a pocket Constitution to ask Trump if he’s even read it. This is how Trump reacted in an interview with ABC News:

“If you look at his wife, she was standing there, she had nothing to say. Probably maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say, you tell me, but plenty of people have written that. She was extremely quiet and it looked like she had nothing to say.”

Ghazala Khan is certainly “allowed” to speak. She did so on MSNBC last night, and she explained that she couldn’t speak at the convention because talking about her son just gets her far too emotional.

Trump also suggested that Hillary Clinton‘s people wrote Khan’s speech. No. That’s completely false.

But Trump wasn’t done there. See, Khan asked him what he’s sacrificed. This was how Trump responded to that:

“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs.”

He talked about how he’s provided for so many people and even donated to help the building of a Vietnam memorial in New York.
