Data Protection Manager deploys DPM Protection Agent on managed computers. DPM Protection Agent helps in executing the backup jobs. In case you wish to disable backup jobs for a computer, you must disable the DPM Protection Agent. You can do so by using DisableDPMProductionServer PowerShell cmdlet as shown in the commands below:
- $ComputerName = Get-DPMProductionServer –DPMServerName “TestServer”
- Disable-DPMProductionServer –ProductionServer $ComputerName
