Civ VI Currently has no team multiplayer. (self.Games)

There are a lot of reports about this on the steam forum and r/civ, but I have not seen any articles about it yet.

There has been no official statement yet. I thought it best to warn people.

I guess the idea is to just make an in game declaration of peace and trust your friend? It's dumb that the mode didn't carry over but you can still do it.

I found that out too. It sucks, that is mainly how my friends and I play :/ hopefully they patch it in.

Can't you just not attack your buddies and sign a peace treaty?

You can't stop the AI from attacking each other, though. So if you want to do a 4v4 game against the AI, that's impossible because they will likely fight each other.

Me and my friends play a lot of Civ. Although we pretty much always play together, we never do "teams". We usually like the freedom to do our own thing and not have to share in every war, tech, culture, etc. Plus the camera snaps you to watch every damn fight :/

It does show mod support so whether they patch it in or not it will be available eventually (Provided mod support isn't gimped in some way.)
