I could see that, with her emphasis on healthcare reform. Or Ana for the "Badass Grandma" vibe. Plus, after the debates, I could also see her being a damn good Symmetra.

Use intelligence and strategy to take control of the room, get up close, and wreck any over-aggressive jerk who thinks they can beat you because you're just a "support".

Or, given the look of absolute despair on Donald's face Wednesday night, she could be a Mei main.

And then, after game, says "bad game stupid team", upvotes his own card (or nothing if he didn't get one) and quits.

Madame President! (Can I call you that yet?)

I made my first donation to your campaign back in 2008, and even though that year ended up being historic for different reasons, I am still proud to call myself a supporter. Now, in 2016, I have already cast my ballot for you, and I watch nervously as we count down the final few days until the results are in. Although I have confidence that this is finally over, I cannot bring myself to relax until the ink has dried, so to speak.

We hear every four years that we're facing the most important election of our lifetimes, but this one feels different. The other elections I can remember were important because we were choosing leaders to help us through whatever problems we were facing at the time, and although I cared about the outcomes of those elections and I favored one candidate's victory over the other's, I never before felt that I was personally under attack by someone on television.

That has been the case this year. I come from a family of immigrants and war refugees. Or, as we're called now, Americans. My family risked life and limb to cross a vast ocean and land someplace they barely knew, where they had no idea if they were welcome, where everything seemed just a bit different and where the language was far enough removed from their native language that they knew they would face an extra layer of challenge for the rest of their lives. But they went anyway, because the war gave them no choice.

And now they are here. And now I am here, not as someone with a foot in two worlds but as someone as American as anyone, someone lucky enough not to be subjected to the travails of war and its aftermath, but someone who has been given the opportunity to make my own way in a vast, beautiful, free country.

America is a place where the daughter of parents who lost everything could settle into a community, find acceptance, receive a quality public education, move on to higher education, earn a doctorate, and then pursue a dream career in the sunny paradise of California. I fought for all of this, through good times and bad, but all of that fighting would have been for naught had this country not given me these opportunities. Likewise, it might have been in vain had I taken the opportunities for granted, never putting myself into a position to give anything back, but that's not usually how the story plays out, is it?

The previous generation in my family was a generation of those who just wanted to live, who would scrape by in nail salons and factory jobs and barber shops, and they were happy because they no longer feared for their lives or their liberty as they would have back in their old home. In my generation of my family, several or us are now doctors, and the rest still have fulfilling careers that allow us to live the American Dream. The new generation is still on the rise, and they are as yet too young to work, but we expect great things from them, too.

The point is that we all love this country and what it has offered us, and we feel blessed to be here.

And that is why I feel so much sadness and pain when I watch the proceedings of this year's election. While your campaign has emphasized togetherness and optimism and love and compassion, the other side has not done so.

It's nothing new to hear a campaign trash politicians. Political jokes are timeless, and anyone with any success in politics must be thick-skinned enough to endure some ribbing or even some tough criticism. But your opponent's campaign this year has gone beyond that. They no longer just attack their political opponents; they attack us. They attack the American people, and they do so by pretending that we, people who are as American as any, people who are perhaps most intimately familiar with some of America's best qualities, people whose only personal life journeys reflect those of some of America's most iconic first settlers, are less American than they are.

Their motives are transparent. We're "the other." If we're not white enough, or if they think we belong to a culture that they have no intention of understanding or appreciating, or if we're even simply an easy villain, we're to believe that we don't belong.

We're looking at a campaign kicked off with a call to racist suspicion of those who don't look quite like some would prefer they look. A call to view those who look different or who speak a different language as more criminal or violent. As if to highlight the fact that this wasn't an anomaly, one of those many isolated incidents of hate and bigotry what we're trained to dismiss because we have no real choice in the matter, this statement was made by a man who, up to that point, had built his entire political career on a very similar racist lie, the idea that our first African American President also didn't belong.

We heard that message, first from a powerful man who repeats it over and over on television and then again from his supporters, who wield it like a battleaxe, cutting us down, drowning us out, preaching this hate and poisoning the wells of public discourse. At times, it feels as though it is too much. It's now considered okay to go out into public and talk about how much one dislikes foreigners or people one thinks are foreigners or people who just remind one too much of foreigners.

That's acceptable public behavior now.

And of course that's not all, of course.

Of course.

As personal as the increasingly brazen racial attacks have been, as hard as it is to find peace in the middle of that storm, we seem to have entered an age where misogyny has gained some veneer of respectability. It's now okay for a presidential candidate to say utterly vile things. It's now okay for a presidential candidate to do utterly vile things and then defend them by quipping that boys will be boys, and what happens in the locker room ought to stay in the locker room, even if that locker room is a workplace.

It's a world in which half of us have faced this sort of gendered violence our whole lives, and now we're being told that complaining about it is futile, because all men talk that way. All men judge our value by how we look. All men are at least thinking we are pigs or dogs or slobs, just because we aren't always dedicating inordinate amounts to energy to pleasing their aesthetic senses all of the time, as if that is our purpose in life.

That's what one side is saying. And of course there is more.

Aside from the further personal insults hurled at other Americans, whether those who are in the LGBTQ community or those who are disabled or those who just don't fit the restrictive cartoon definition of an American to which one side of this campaign has limited itself, aside from these insults from people who have stories just as real and just as personal as mine, aside from all of the pain and suffering caused to them by those whose chanted slogans at the rallies call to their minds a sort of fearsome bloodlust mixed with fear and viciousness and call to our minds the sorts of nightmares that, at least to me, offer echoes of the kinds of things my family fled when they came here, aside from all of these affronts to dignity and respect and basic human decency, there's the fact that this campaign is also a referendum on competence.

Respect for fellow humans doesn't matter to the other campaign, and neither does knowing what you're doing.

When I see one candidate flailing around for half-baked answers, calling our nation's leaders stupid in one breath and then offering reductive, careless solutions to complex geopolitical problems, I feel insulted.

I worked hard to get where I am, and my career is still relatively young. When I was in school, I studied for hours every day just to learn the basics of my field. When I was in grad school, I worked even longer hours to write my dissertation, which covered one tiny bit of one obscure subject. In my career now, I push myself day in and day out to keep up with the latest advances.

And this candidate for a job that deals with dangerous situations, with much more at stake? He mocks the idea of reading. He mocks the idea of learning. He mocks the idea of preparing. Of being prepared.

And he mocks the very system that let him get this far despite being dangerously unqualified, undignified, and unfit. As his campaign enters its death throes, he threatens to drag as many of us as possible down with it, taking our democracy with him if he can help it.

So as you can see, I am a little frightened and sad.

I am frightened because we have a presidential campaign running on a platform that dehumanizes and hates and fears me, one that makes me into a lesser being, one that subjugates women, on that tears families apart and fights to destroy lives and livelihoods of those who don't pass their American purity tests.

And I am sad because of what that campaign threatens to do to this great country, this country that has allowed me to live a dream rather than a nightmare, this country that has given me everything I have and has given me the freedom to enjoy it.

So I thank you, both for your life of admirable, exemplary service and for your opposition to these evils that now threaten us. Thank you for standing up to the monster, for refusing to sink to its level, for staying loyal to the ideal that have made America what it is, for not turning your back on the international community or on your fellow Americans, and for giving us hope that the majority do not live under a dark cloud of fear and distrust and acrimony.

Thank you for saving this country, and I wish you the best as your preserve it for the next eight years.

Hillary, you are my hero. If I could be 1/1000 as loving, as compassionate, and as intelligent as you are, I'll consider my life well lived... I hope you know that you're an inspiration to a lot of people, including me :)

I voted early for you in Nebraska! Maybe this one little corner of the state will be blue.

Me too - fingers crossed for that corner!

Secretary Clinton, I'd like to commend you for your staggering performances in the three debates. That couldn't have been easy when your opponent is an unhinged pathological liar. Please do all you can to win in November; I will be voting for you, for sure, after a lifetime of uninspired protest votes.
