Scheduled - On October 19th 2016, beginning around 16:00 UTC, emergency maintenance will be performed on the TGN- EA Submarine Cable System affecting Mumbai, India. No impact to Dyn Managed DNS Nameservers or peripheral infrastructure is expected, although some users may experience additional DNS query latency over ns1 and ns3 as traffic is routed to other paths.

Identified - On February 16th, 2016, Dyn was made aware of CVE-2015-7547, a glibc getaddrinfo stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting certain systems. Our security team is currently reviewing systems that may be impacted by this exploit and are systematically addressing these systems as required. * For DNSSEC, KSKs now create DS records for SHA-256 in addition to the current SHA-1
* External nameserver settings are displayed more clearly on the /reports/services page
* API now includes endpoints for manipulating external nameservers
* SOA rname field supports escaped special characters like 'sample\+addr@example.com'
* API version increased to 3.7.2

Resolved - As of 04:00 UTC - All Email Portal Degradation has subsided.

Identified - At approximately 22:40 UTC on October 6th 2016, Our engineers identified performance degradation with our Dyn Email Delivery login portal. When attempting to log in customers may have experienced intermittent connection errors and delayed response times. Customers may also be experiencing delays in email reporting data. Please note that email sending is not currently affected by this issue. Engineering is currently investigating the issue and updates will be posted as information becomes available. We do not recommend that customers make any changes to their configuration in response to this issue.
