China: hello its nice to see you kid , my name is China
Japan: hello China, the name is Japan and..... I'm gonna hit you with my katana when I'm older
@thesporeshow Their conversation's based on the story of an anciant Japanese king. He said that "Hi I'm the king of the country of the rising sun." to the Chinese Emperor. It is said that he didn't take it very well, at least annoyed, but it's almost a myth no one knows the trueth. In fact, nobody knows who was the Japanese king really. Many people think it's Shotoku Taishi but that's almost a fairytale. Hope my English makes sence.
@TheDarkNeko27
In the Japanese version, yes. It doesn't translate to the dub because in English, there is absolutely no equivalent for "aru". English fans wouldn't understand what it meant if it was used. :\ It's basically a language parody - sort of like that English one where Italians add "-a" after every sentence.
@girlgarde well chibi Japan says that China is where the sun sets, and Japan is where the sun rises, and when the Chinese Empire heard about this he didnt take it very well, because he didnt like the notion of the sun being borne in Japan, yet died in China. :)
@demonfikry: It's a parody (for lack of a better word) of how Japan introduced itself to China in real life. To quote TVTropes, "The Emperor of the Land of the Sunrise to the Emperor of the Land of the Sunset". The Chinese Emperor was not pleased at this, to say the least.
*HEADDESKS MULTIPLE TIMES*
