Cabinets are crucial for speakers to sound great. While high-quality speakers come with personalized ceramic or wooden ones, MUG+, the world’s first bluetooth speaker with changeable cabinets are handing you back the control.
You’ve got lots and lots of mugs sitting in our kitchen for coffee and for tea, how about setting a new career for them? Big, small, wooden or metal, they can all be your speaker cabinet!

Mix and match with anything of opening from 6 to 10cm, you are freed from the same sound performance once and for all. Professional speakers had everything fixed, we made everything flexible.

You can’t fit a whole speaker in your backpack, but speaker at a 40% size? Yes indeed. Traveling, cycling or picnicking, keep it light with MUG+.
2. 45mm Speaker Driver: Small Size, High Quality Sound
60% of the volume is taken away from us, upgraded components are given back to you in return. The 45mm speaker driver comes with a comparatively "flat" frequency response. In this case, it is equally sensitive from low to high frequency, resulting in a more accurate representation of the original sound. It also has a fundamental frequency (f0) of 130Hz, which is very good for small size speaker. We recommend you to view our video with earphones to hear the best performance of MUG+.
3. Audio Boost Technology: Smart and Powerful
Due to its audio boost technology, the 3W speaker driver of MUG+ can boost power up to 10W and beyond. The built-in Automatic Gain Control (AGC, TPA2029D1) also prevents distortion of the audio signal and enhance quiet passages that are normally unheard, offering you the stable and complete sound experience.
Explore Your Sound, Feel the Difference
When mug materials meet sound frequency varied from low to high, it’s time for you to explore the magic on the sound difference! Material density and surface affect sound performance by their differences on acoustical absorption and reflection. Materials with higher density such as glass and metal reflect most sound with a low level of sound absorption, while materials with lower density such as ceramic, paper, and plastic allow sound to transmit through and lead to higher level sound diffusion.
Hold Your Sound in Different Container, Big or Small Does Matter.
Simple equation explains it all! ”Velocity = Frequency *Wavelength”. Small cabinet forces sound wave to squeeze itself and form compression waves while bigger cabinet allows sound wave to stretch out and form rather rarefaction waves. That is to say, bigger cabinets are able to digest more reverse wave to eliminate interference on bass sound performance.
Besides a good speaker driver, a cabinet big enough for acoustic resonance is also essential for a great speaker. But most portable bluetooth speaker are designed with a smaller cabinet for its convenience to carry around, and materials chosen are prioritized by cost which had sound performance sacrificed.
During product development period, we took out many speaker drivers from multiple speakers and matched them with different containers to conduct various sound experiments.
We decided to simplify whatever has been overcomplicated and hope everyone can have their own customized portable speaker. To spare no sound, to think out of the box, and to unleash the true potential of every speaker driver, this is what inspired us.
Air and Sound Ports
The mechanical design of MUG+ air and sound ports allows sound wave from the back of the cone to pass through effectively into the enclosure, and leads to the full range of dissipation on sound wave energy from there.
