. Nonetheless I've spent a significant part of my time in the last years reading up on history, mostly the interwar period, Hitler's rise to power and WW2.

As somebody who is relatively knowledgable in how Hitler rose to power and how totalitarianism works I must say im incredibly frightened by the developement in the US over the last 1.5 years. It's not surprising that totalitarian ideologies haven't died off after 1945. Trump is neither the first nor the last person who tries to overthrow a democracy. But the amount of swiftness by which he rose to the number one threat to America since the Soviet Union is horrifying.

This is no hyperbole. Cheeto Benito is deeply totalitarian and he has already proved to be a fascist in the past. The beatiful "Tell me why Trump is a fascist" writeup explains this marvellously to all but the ones with the craziest mental gymnastics.

But we've entered a new stage of Trumps madness. The collapse of his campaign and the exposure of the godawful person he is have lead him to enter the most dangerous episode of Trumpism.

In the following I'll explain how Trump now checks the characteristics of National Socialism and the NSDAPs rise to power, effectively making him literally Hitler.

THE SEVEN HALLMARKS OF NATIONAL SOCIALISM

1. Antiparliamentarism and the Führer principle

The Führerprinzip states that the Führer should have absolute authority because he is always right.

• Trump's entire campaign is built upon his promise to be a strong leader. Trump is a pathological narcissist and has proven time and time again thast he thinks he'd be omniscient. He has stated a plethora of false things and refused to accept that he was wrong. he combines this with dangerous anti-intellectualism, trying to delegitimize other authorities and proclaiming himself to be the only person to trust, essentially representing himself in the same way Hitler did: As an infallible Führer ^1,2,3,4,5
• Meanwhile he uses social darwinist ideology to present himselve as a gifted personality.⁶
• He supports his notion of infallibility by promising to drastically abusing his powers as president,representing the notion of absolute power in the Nazi ideology^7.

Antiparliamentarism has a symbiotic relationship to the Führer principle. National Socialism is defameing democracy as weak and unreliable. The parliamentary system is presented as corrupt and treacherous.

• The other cornerstone of Trumps campaign ist his promise to break the rigged establishment.
• His screams of a "rigged" election are disturbing. This is active an active fight against the democratic process and the mandate the elected president gets from the people. His comments on Birtherism had the same intent. He even went as far as calling for a revolution when Romney lost. e ^8,9,10,11

TLDR;: Trump is actively fighting the democratic system of the US and replace it by his own, perverted Fuhrer principle.

2. Nationalism and Volksgemeinschaft.

National socialism is calling for a united people, alike both ethnically and ideologically. hitler enforced a totalitarian system from the economy and trade associations to the media, culture and education.

• Trump and his campaigns platform are trying to get rid or supress of "other" humans, such as (just a few examples):
• LGBT ¹²
• Muslims ¹³
• Mexicans ¹⁴
• Blacks ¹⁵
• People of Non-Christian religions ¹⁶
• And many others

Trump is also actively trying to repress differing opinions, mainly deprive the press of their power. ^{16,17,18,19,20}

• The GOP cuts the education budget here and there. Trumps anti-intellectualism is a threat to education. He is a threat to economy and trade associations, to the media, culture and education. He wants a totalitarian state.

TLDR: Trump is trying to suppress differing opinions, ethnics and beliefs. He and his platform are totalitarian.

3. Social Darwinism and Racism

National socialists referred to themselves as the Aryan Race, which was treated as the Master Race

I think this goes without talking. Check out the response to the "Tell me why Trump is racist" thread. The important points, making him openly national socialist, not just "racist" but fully distinctive "Untermensch" type of racist are:

• Trump retweets message from Pro-Hitler, white genocide conspiracy Twitter account.
• When asked for comments on two of his supporters who brutally beat and urinated on a Hispanic homeless man while yelling Pro-Trump Slogans, Trump responds by defending the men as just being "passionate".
• Trump believes that Mexicans are rapist by default.
• Trump's spokesman, Katrina Pierson, critized Obama for being "a negro" and not "pure-breed".
• Trump thinks that muslims should wear "special ID badges", as well as having a database tracking muslims. THIS IS THE JUDENSTERN GODFUCKINGDAMNIT
• He also refers to people as "animals", dangerously close to subhumen ²¹
• And he belives he has "superior genes", essentially his own version of the "Master Race" ²²
• He panders to the White genocide conspiracy theory. these people want to institute similar policies as the Nazi Racy hygiene

TLDR; Trump and his supporters are hyper-racist and social darwinist, enough to make them national socialists

4. Antisemitism

Hitler thought that Jews conspired against his people

• Trump uses anti-semitic dog-whistle about "global bankers conspiring against him. ²³
• His sons and surrogates have been accused of Antisemitism ²⁴
• His followers incite violence against jews and attack jewish journalists. He doesn't give a shit. ^FUCKINGHELL

TLDR; Oh wonder, he's anti-semitic too.

5. Anti-capitalism

Trump's anticapitalism is different to Hitlers, caused by the progresse of capitalism in the last decades. Hitler wanted to free Germany from the global financial system, mainly free the German people from the "subjugation by the interest rates". This was legitimized by the Great Depression, were germany was hit extremely hard by it's reliance on American credits and investments.

• Trump wants to free America from globalization, because he says it would abuse America.
• he wants to target free trade ²⁵
• He combines this with racism and the fear of being supressed and exterminated by other people ^26,27

TLDR Just as Hitler wanted to tackle the global financial system, trump want's to free America from Globalism. He legitimizes this by lying to his supporters and telling them jobs would come back if protectionism is established

6. Anti-Marxism

Now this is where Trump and Hitler truly part (Cuba Embargo, Cuba). But I found a decent replacement: Anti "PC" and Anti Liberalism. Additionally many of his followers despise Europes social democracies which is their own little Antimarxism.

• Many conservative parties are feeling as if they loose the culture wars
• "PC Culture" and "Cultural Marxism" are far right buzzwords. They think these two should be defeated.
• "Fiscal conservatism" is widespread, welfare states are percieved as something "unamerican" and "socialist"
• Therefore bullshit economic policies are proposed, like fighting against healthcare and insane tax cuts for the rich.

TLDR; Trump and his supporters want to wage war against social and economic progress. He is not conservative, he is deeply reactionary.

7. Living Space and Total War

Hitler wanted total war to conquer new living space. His policies were not sustainable and he needed war. Now Trump is not saying that he literally wants to conquer new living space. America has enough of that. But he still wants war.

• He wants to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. He wants to kill the entire families of terrorists. that is a war of extermination.^{Fascist-Thread}
• His economic policies are bullshit. But he wants to help out the US economy by "take[ing] the oil". He openly calls for wars of aggression against Americas allies. ²⁹
• He wants legitimize war crimes " a hell lot worse than waterbording" by changing the Geneva convention ³⁰
• He does not rule out using nuclear weapons, the most total form of toal war, against Europe ^[31].
• That means is not ruling out to exterminate hundreds of millions of people

TLDR Trump calls for open war against Americas allies. He does not rule out using nuclear weapons. What even is this shit. He proposes war crimes. He proposes a war of extermination.

My personal opinion

VOTE. VOTE THIS MOTHERFUCKING IDEOLOGY TO DEATH. TRUMP NEEDS TO LOOSE IN AN UNPRECEDENT FUCKING LANDSLIDE: HE IS LITERALLY HILTLER. VOTE DOWNBALLOT. GIVE DEMS THE LEGISLATIVE POWER.

Then help the deplorables and America as a whole. They have problems leading to them supporting Trump. Make sure that they know everything about their ideology is shit. But help them.

AND MOTHERFUCKING VOTE AGAINST TRUMP.
