Molly Forbes is 92 years old, and has lived in rural Scotland all her life. She’s never had a passport.
In the picture below she's fetching water from a stream in a wheelbarrow to bathe herself and flush the toilet. She hasn’t had a proper water supply for more than 6 years.
The man responsible for fixing it is running for President.
You’ve Been Trumped Too is a film Donald Trump won't want you to see, which is exactly why we need your help to make sure as many Americans can see it as possible. Before the election.
You’ve Been Trumped Too is an explosive and revealing story that every American voter should watch. The film will be released in movie theaters in major British cities like London, Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast before the American election. With your help, we'll bring it to New York and beyond.
Our plan is to make it available to millions of voters – either on television or free of charge (in America) online. All of this will take money for distribution, publicity and some advertising. And legal costs.
This story needs to get out, and we need your help to do it.
You’ve Been Trumped Too has been primarily filmed over the last 12 months, during the most contentious American presidential election campaign in history. This explosive film explores the growing confrontation between a feisty 92 year-old Scottish widow and her family and a billionaire seeking to become the most powerful man in the world. As the world hangs on every Trump utterance, director Anthony Baxter explores the consequences of his actions.
Michael Forbes and his mother Molly are living in the shadow of the Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland. When they and their neighbours refused to leave the land to make way for development, the Trump Organization initiated a campaign of intimidation and bullying, enlisting even the police to help them. You’ve Been Trumped Too is a unique look at a globally-historic election and a timeless tale of the unlikely encounter between a salt-of-the-earth Scottish family and one of the planet’s richest and most controversial figures.
Who We Are
You’ve Been Trumped Too is a sequel made by the same team that made You’ve Been Trumped, which won 12 international awards when released in 2011. Incredibly, 5 years later, the situation is even worse for many of the families depicted in that film. And they blame Donald Trump.
Anthony Baxter is the award-winning director of You’ve Been Trumped, A Dangerous Game, and the upcoming FLINT, which explores the devastating water crisis in Michigan. A former BBC journalist, he lives in Montrose, Scotland. Richard Phinney is the producer and writer of You’ve Been Trumped Too, and a long-time collaborator with Anthony.
"Mr. Trump comes across as an insensitive, lying bully who will do whatever it takes. Like Michael Moore in “Roger and Me,” Mr. Baxter … refuses to be brushed off." – Stephen Holden, New York Times
“The underlying message is, that if you are rich and powerful enough, you can ride roughshod over tradition and private property rights.” – Roger Ebert
“Donald Trump destroys Scotland: As Baxter demonstrates with unflinching clarity, the result was a community and a land that were literally rolled over in the name of corporate greed.” – Salon
“Baxter’s determination to give the locals a voice denied them by major media coverage, lends his film momentum and heart.” – National Public Radio (NPR)
“A potent study of the intimidating power of money not in theory but on the ground, an examination of how a wealthy man with a boundless sense of entitlement can strong-arm all opposition … disturbing and eye-opening.” – Kenneth Turan, The Los Angeles Times
"It blew me away!" – Michael Moore
"Tremendously uplifting... about the human spirit and about people standing up for each other. Everyone in this country would love this film." – Rosie O'Donnell
"Anthony Baxter has given us an unforgettable portrait of capitalism run amuck … a remarkable, revealing and very moving and important film." – Bill Moyers
“You’re a loser.” – Donald Trump
