As a reminder, this subreddit is for civil discussion.
  • Do not call other users trolls, morons, children, or anything else clever you may think of. Personal attacks, whether explicit or implicit, are not permitted.
  • Do not accuse other users of being shills. If you believe that a user is a shill, the proper conduct is to report the user or send us a modmail.
  • In general, don't be a jerk. Don't bait people, don't use hate speech, etc. Attack ideas, not users.
  • Do not downvote comments because you disagree with them, and be willing to upvote quality comments whether you agree with the opinions held or not.
Incivility results in escalating bans from the subreddit. If you see uncivil comments, please report them and do not reply with incivility of your own.

The fact we don't have paid parental leave in this country still makes zero sense to me.
Let's implement a system like Sweden so both parents can spend time with their newborn.
We are way too obsessed with work being the only thing that matters in this country

Our largest state economy does try to implement something like that.
Employers, who were originally hostile to it, are starting to come around (especially as it's paid for via a payroll deduction).

A lot of people have maternity leave. Almost all of them work in offices though. They are trying t ofigure out how to get the plebes to just have the baby at work. That way the mother can squat the kid out, and the kid can start working along with her.

Amazing what you can accomplish working for a law firm that does Arkansas state business while your husband is the governor of Arkansas

Amazing what you can do when you inherit tens of millions of dollars, for being born.

I don't support Hillary.
But I will upvote every hilaryclinton.com and every ActBlue article I see.
Just to drive right wing reactionaries insane .
I hope we can fill the entire front page with PRO HILLARY articles.
I will continue downvoting anti-trump spam, because everyone knows Trump is an evil Russian pussy-grabbing rapist already. It's all just reposts.
So start posting more actblue and pro-Hillary articles, please.
You guys will love that stuff.
It's like catnip for Hillaristas.
Edit: actblue articles can be found at http://shareblue.com/
(Also, for bonus points, pressure the mods to unban DailyKos.)

Sounds like classic Clinton, one policy for her, and one for everybody else.

3rd paragraph (emphasis added):
But compared to most mothers, Hillary was incredibly lucky—her law partners told her to take whatever time she needed, and she chose to stay home with Chelsea for four months. She came out of the experience committed to fighting for paid leave for all working parents, a cause she would later champion as first lady and U.S. senator.
If you already don't like Hillary, the idea of being treated like a Clinton actually probably sounds pretty nice.

Despite this being #5 on rising threads in /r/politics, you're the first person to question the value of the source

Do you disagree with any part of the content? Campaign websites are allowed primary sources, though obviously they're biased. At least the bias is open.

It was Web Hubbell's kid, so he couldn't object could he?
