    Considering the modern politicians' love affair with monolithic, monopolistic corporations, I don't think Trust Busting would be popular with today's establishment parties.             It is entirely on purpose, it was done because they know that their ideas are the exact opposite of what the literal meaning of liberal means.

            They have done this so often with many words because trying to define words in the literal sense instead of the figurative causes severe cognitive dissonance. If you are brainwashed into learning the figurative meaning first it will almost be impossible to revert that person, unless they go through deprogramming.

            I'm liberal in the definition of the word "liberal" sense. I'm totally open to new ideas and tradition doesn't matter to me.

            That's not what it means to sjws.

            That being said any conservatives that are homophobic or harp on "traditional marriage" need to put your bibles down and stop pushing your religion on others. There is literally no reason to oppose homosexual couples that isn't religion based.

                    I don't understand. I clearly read this as conservatives get riled up over things that aren't even true, and liberals get riled up over things that are true.

                    Any other reading of this doesn't even make sense as political commentary, because the bit about conservatives is unnecessary - everyone gets upset if they find they've been lied to, it would add nothing to the statement of that's what it meant.
