So this conversation started in another thread, but I think it warrants its own post.

Full disclosure, I'm a neurotypical professional working with children with autism. I have noticed quite a few people on subs like TRP, incel, MGTOW who say things that remind me of kiddos on my caseload - except the topic of conversation is women instead of Pokemon.

It's likely that I'm a carpenter who just sees nails everywhere; however I have also seen terpers themselves make this observation about their own community.

And if I think about it, it does make sense to me why these philosophies could appeal to those on the spectrum, especially if they have been bullied. They offer hope or validation to those struggling to make friends or romantic partners. And the logic of AWALT is so conveniently black and white.

So what do the non-BP lurkers here think?
