As a Canadian, watching this election play out made me realize how much I now hate Reddit and the people that run it. I'm slowly leaving Reddit and joining real forums of the topics I really like.

The upvote system is flawed and the product is crap.

It would surprise me if Voat doesn't have the same problems as Reddit. It still has mods, and those mods can be bought out just like on Reddit.

Clinton campaign people have had control of /r/politics for months now, except for the 9-11 memorial when Mrs. Clinton was caught on video having a seizure and being dragged head-first into her van. Not sure if that was a lack of coverage over a weekend, or if they were waiting for instructions from the front-office.
