例えば、小説「悪魔の詩」を書いた英作家のサルマン・ラシュディ氏はツイッターに「ディランは吟遊詩人の伝統の優れた継承者だ。素晴らしい選択だ」と投稿。一方、「スーパー・サッド・トゥルー・ラブ・ストーリー」のゲイリー・シュタインガート氏は納得がいかないようで、「ノーベル賞委員会を完全に理解した。読書は大変な仕事だ」とツイートした。
