I feel like between Hitler and Mussolini, Its much closer to Mussolini. He was erratic when it came to political choices early on, and went from straight up socialist to fascist, all using populist rhetoric. The quote of Trump "Repeating the last thing a popular person said to him" Reminds me so much of Benito's policy of disguising his end gameplan as a statesman of the work of the public. Hirohito, on the otherhand, I have little knowledge of the pre-sino (2nd) war, but it doesn't seem to fit the "MAKE JAPAN GREAT AGAIN" war, and more a war of birthright, that SEA belonged to them, much like manifest destiny, so therefore they should go and take it by any means necessary, teaming up with fascists... I say that as Wartime Japan doesn't even strike me as fascist in the traditional sense.
If anything, I'd say he's closest to my bitter rival Fransisco Franco, slayer of anarchists and communists, the "SJW"s of the time, and wanted to make spain "Manly" again.
