What's in it for her? I think, given where Donald did from the last debate through today, we would see more Trump shitshow. Nothing of substance. Maybe it would be more advantage of her to take a long interview talking about policy and state that she's doing it because such won't happen at a debate with Trump (leave the rest implicit)

It would be an unbelievably bad decision to skip the debate. Trump would have 90 minutes to say whatever he wants! People would think she's trying to hide something.

There's a long game that you're not fully acknowledging here. It starts with solid debate and Miss Universe, parade of Clinton 'accusers' and solid debate, and ends with solid debate and ?!?

There's more to be gained than you think.

I don't think that she has a lot to gain from participating in another debate, but she has a lot to lose from skipping it. The story right now is on Donald Trump and all of his failings as a person and politician; the last thing Hillary Clinton wants to do is change the topic to "Hillary Clinton skips debate" and let the talking heads from both sides speculate as to why.

I agree that the 3rd debate is a waste of time, but there's no way Clinton can be the one to skip it. It would make her look really bad.

What I'm really disappointed about is that unlike in the past, there's not one debate that focuses on just foreign policy. Trump is so far out of his depth on that front, and Clinton - while you may disagree with her policy - has gobs of experience.

Just enjoy the show. I wonder what he will do now considering everyday it's gets worse and worse poll wise for him. At this point he is pretty much exposed for who he is.

The trick with someone like Trump is to let him be himself with the cameras rolling. The more time he spends just being himself, the deeper he digs the hole.
