Jose Mourinho said he is proud of Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard's recent international call-ups.
The Manchester United pair were selected in Spain and England's squads for their World Cup qualifiers earlier this month, with Lingard making his Three Lions debut against Malta before retaining his place in Slovenia.
Herrera did not manage to attain that elusive senior cap but the midfielder's promotion delighted his club manager.
"I like my players to go to the international teams," Mourinho told MUTV.
"I know that other managers don't like it. I know that other managers they even try to stop them to go. I know there is sometimes also a bit of a fake injury to stop people to go. I'm not like that. I'm always very proud of my players to be selected.
"And especially these two that you refer to. One was a debutant, the other was a call-up to the Spanish team. It's obviously important for them and it's good for me and I think also the club feels proud of it."
