This is reddit "request". Politeness will be enforced.
NO DRAMA. Engaging in flaming, accusations, and general drama will result in a ban from /r/redditrequest. Keep discussion directly relevant to the request at hand.
While the input of the community is helpful, redditrequest is not a popularity contest.
The exact criteria used in evaluating a request is left to admin discretion, and the input here must be strictly on topic and drama free.
Subreddits aren't considered "abandoned" if any mod has been active anywhere on reddit in the past 60 days.
"Anywhere on reddit" means anywhere on reddit. Do not ask for exceptions.
Activity IS NOT limited to publicly visible posts and comments.
You are allowed to request one subreddit every 30 days. Choose wisely. Multiple requests will be auto removed.
Accounts less than 90 days old, and without at least 500 combined karma will not be given subreddits.
In the case of subreddits that are active and have recent activity, we may require a combined karma threshold of 300+ specific to that subreddit for a user to be made a mod.
You may not use multiple accounts to request subreddits.
You may not request subreddits on behalf of other users.
When a subreddit is requested, an automatic message will be sent to the mods of that subreddit directing them to respond to the request. We allow a 3 day grace period for moderators of requested subreddits to receive this message.
The 3 day grace period should not be taken as an indication of the timeframe within which you can expect a response to your request
There will be times when the admins have other issues which are a higher priority than the posts in this subreddit. Responding to requests is something that happens in otherwise free time. Please be patient: modmail status inquiries will not receive a response.
Please don't ask for an exemption from the rules.
