I don't think he's been written off yet, Mourinho wouldn't have him on the bench or be giving him minutes otherwise.

He has skill and is good when running directly at players but can be really lazy when not doing that. If he loses the ball for example he just starts walking and doesn't attempt to chase, he jogs back towards defence like he has all the time in the world and when he gets there his attempts at cutting passing lanes look really half hearted. He has also consistently shown bad decision making, some of which have lost us games.

There's no denying he's talented but right now he doesn't offer enough to be starting games. Martial in his recent run of bad form was quite frankly still better than him. He has a lot to work on and improve before he'll be considered.
