MSNBC pulls plug on unhinged Donald Trump after he explains why buildings can’t burn down
After a nightmare weekend for Donald Trump which began with a leaked tape of him bragging about sexual assault and ended with an unhinged performance at a debate which the majority of viewers believe he lost, he hit the campaign trail again on Monday undaunted. During a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump insisted he won the debate and repeated some of his worst-received debate lines, even as his fans cheered him on. MSNBC began airing the speech, but pulled the plug after just eight minutes when he began attacking the fire marshal.
“Do you know how lucky you are,” Donald Trump said to those at his rally, informing him that other people were outside wishing they could get in. “I guess they’re not allowing them in, I don’t know why, because there’s thousands of people. Where is the fire marshal? Let some more people come in. I see some seats over there. Let some people.”
“I know a lot about fire,” Trump inexplicably continued. “You have a room with four walls and a roof and nothing to burn. Let the people in.” At that precise moment, MSNBC reporter Steve Kornacki immediately cut off the speech and began reporting on other aspects of the election.
Fascinatingly, even after Trump had bragged about how he’s somehow winning the election, Kornacki ended up reporting that Trump is now losing to Hillary Clinton by fourteen points nationally in a new head to head NBC News poll, before listing off the additional Republican leaders who have withdrawn their support for Trump’s candidacy.
