I can't imagine that the song they are dancing to has a beat drop

Did I say beat? I meant BP.

Orthostatic hypotension: the silent killer.

Oh, you are terrible you.

No beat drop, but probably still not quite what I was expecting.

Thank you this made my day.

Didn't expect that at 1:02. Haha

I was gonna watch this but all these life-affirming comments dissuaded me.

That was beautiful. The guys are skilled too. I don't understand spanish one bit and I don't know if that was an original track but it's damn good.

FUCKIN ON YA BITCH SHE A THOT THOT

"Beat dropping" isn't exclusive to dubstep...it's a phrase that means when the music starts. #triggered

[–]Choco_Churro_Charlie 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Where's the sax battle when you need one?

She tries pulling him down "Not again phil!"

And I was like "aight, fuck you then"

I'm curious if it kept progressing until they were all boning just to get back at each other.

Imagine their sweaty, wrinkled, liver-spotted skin sliding around the moist subway floor like a slice of butter in a hot geriatric skillet. The smellz...

I'd say it's a strong possibility.

Basic has no age limit.

What is basic, anyway?

Basic [Bae - sic]; 1. of or relating to a chemical composition which is alkali: with a pH above neutral.

it essentially means average, but has a negative connotation

To add on to that - calling someone basic is pretty much saying, "You think you're special, but you're not."

[–]Hofood 4

I love how he jokingly puts up his fists like he's gonna fight that guy his wife picked to dance with after he picked that random woman hahaha

That's love on a level that some people never get to experience. I can only wish that not only do I live to that age, but I have the same level of excitement and humor as this couple.

The way she "got angry" when he started dancing and folded her arms before finding her own dance partner was so incredibly cute.

NO SHE'S SOMEHOW WORSE.

Recently the three of us played some Wii Sports, rocking some Tennis. All you need to do is swing your fucking arm and hit the ball. Nope. whiff whiff WHY DO I KEEP MISSING THE BALL whiff I THINK MY CONTROLLER IS BROKEN whiff

My daughter: "Mommy, you need to hit the ball when it comes to you."

I KNOW I'M TRYING whiff WHY DON'T YOU TWO JUST PLAY

You paint quite the picture. I can really visualize the interaction, and it's so fucking charming. :)

Keep fighting the good fight, and tell your wife that her gaming struggles bring great joy to the Internet. ;)

The only game she's semi good at is Wii Boxing because the point of the game is to flail your arms wildly with no regard to safety.

And my daughter still wins.

Has she ever tried Street Fighter? "Back in the day", one of the most dangerous "techniques" was that employed by the clueless button masher. You can't predict your opponent's behavior when even they don't know what they're doing. ;)

I was one of those guys. I would pretty frequently beat friends that played WAYYYYY more than me, and they hated it.

I used to play shit mortal kombat games on the gamecube back when I was in highschool (I LIKED THE PLOT, OKAY).

Anyway, after I had beaten Mortal Kombat Deception I was playing with a friend. I knew all the moves. He button mashed. And I got the shit kicked out of me. Probably by the same move over and over.

And then I suddenly had a crystallized existential moment where I evaluated all the time I had spent in that game. I no longer play Mortal Kombat games (didn't they reboot the lore anyway?).

Now I just play Project M :P

the clueless button masher

This is how I beat my husband at Street Fighter.

That's why you have to learn to block, none but my younger brother who also learned to block could beat me at Soul Caliber 2.

Can confirm. Won many a game like this. People just thought I was super good with Vega but I had no motherfucking clue what I was doing. To be fair, though, my family always hogged the systems so I never got to practice. When I got my own Xbox later on down the line, I absolutely murdered everyone at Soul Calibur not from button mashing but pure skill. Suck it, siblings.

[–]Ganondorf_Is_God 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

If you can't turn a hit confirm into a combo you're no better than a button masher. The only thing you're better at is knowing why you're losing.

Fuck, /u/BlacktoseIntolerant /u/JustZisGuy, I want to gild you both for this interaction but I only have one creddit left.

If you can come to an agreement, the winner gets gold. Or if someone else gilds one of you I'll choose the other.

Edit: Are you fucking serious?

It's all /u/BlacktoseIntolerant. He's got the fancy wordulizing.

I dunno, that vocabulation right there is pretty fancy.

Nonetheless, very well, it is done! Totally gilded the wrong comment though, but that's irrelevant!

I'm with you dude. a bunch of comments are all about how the guy is a dog or that the lady felt insecure.

I don't think those people have even been in a decent long term relationship.

I've been married to my wife a few years, and together for some while before that. we're still in the early stage of our marriage - we're in our early 30s.

here's the thing: part of marrying my wife was, I just trust her 100%, so we can have so much fun.

I sent her this video, and she replied basically saying that she wishes this will be us when we get older :) this couple is so damn cute!

they are having a grand old time, just dancing and making fun of each other. that's what my wife & I do! we both love to dance, so we don't dance with others when we go out (which is rare anyway), but we make fun of each other, we have a good time together, and we love each other so much.

look at the first part when the lady supports her husband by holding his butt as he gets up to give some $ to those guys. it's really cute!

I'm not sure he was joking, pink shirt was all about that ass.

suppose the two of them will have fun tonight

Call me a grump, but I hate musicians in public transport. I love hearing street musicians and give money to them frequently, but a train/tram is simply too small and closed off. You can't avoid it if you are not in the mood, have a headache, or try to have a conversation. Plus, you just know they do this in the public transport and not on the street because they know it's easier to guilt you into paying if you can't just walk away. So it's kinda cynical too.

Yeah this was pretty sweet to watch, but playing any kind of music in a subway is a dick move.

[–]Games_sans_frontiers 711ポイント712ポイント  (55子コメント)

Hi, as a foreigner planning to visit New York, is this what riding the subway is like? Are these the Bloods and the Crypts I've heard about? Will I be expected to dance because I don't really know how.

You best learn if you wanna ride in my car. If your ass is in a seat, you gonna get beat.

[–]POTATO_IN_MY_MOUTH 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Dinkin flicka, my man. Bippity boppity, show me the zoppity.

lol

Bloods are really into salsa (because it's red) Crypts are more into jazz like movement (blue like jazz) so you kinda gotta practice your salsa hip movement and your freestyle soul boogie. I for one watch a lot of soul Train and have been initiated in the Crypts for my foot work.

Part of life in NYC is that occasionally you're gonna get served. Many-a-times I'm just chilling on the train, going to my destination, and all of a sudden I get served by a gaggle of 15 year old kids. They're doing jumps, flips and scattin' and bebopping all over the place. It's a part of life.

How do you deal with it? How many therapy sessions are required per serving?

Yep. Keanu Reeves? Some piss-soaked homeless guy? A hedge fund billionaire trader lady? The super of your apartment building? Doesn't matter. If you're on the subway, and breakdancing breaks out, you've got to throw down. Sometimes it's you who does the serving, sometimes it's you who gets served.

This doesn't look like the NYC subway. To answer your questions, yes sometimes there are dancers or singers on the train. I don't know if they're Bloods or Crips (probably neither) but to be safe, don't ride in the last subway car. No, you will not be expected to dance with them. You can give them a dollar if you enjoy their performance.

This is the Barcelona subway. Unfortunately it's never that funny to ride it.

Why not the last car?

Sometimes the conductor rounds up the trouble makers from the front of the train and locks them in the last car. He then detaches the last car from the rest of the train which slowly comes to a stop. Eventually the train police will show up to pick them up. On a rowdy night he can detach up to 3-4 cars.

Dude. Don't be a misleading dick. You're gonna give the US a bad rap. Everyone knows the train police are very prompt in picking up the dropped cars (AKA the "sub flubs").

And honestly, the dreaded 4-car-nights are only like once a week.

Jesus Christ, the hype around here.

You guys are assholes. He's a foreigner interested in visiting our country. Be honest with the fact that train crime has gone down exponentially since the last cars have been agreed to be silent spaces for those wishing to pray. If one gets dropped occasionally, it's purely by mistake and usually just attaches to the front of the next train.

It may very well be urban legend, but allegedly that's where the gang members hang out.

It's an urban legend. I've been in this city for ten years and there's nothing special about the last car.

actually it's a storm drain

The crypts. That ancient mummy gang that's been ruling since RA walked the streets of Manhattan?

the Crypts

hahaha

and bloods and crips are out there like they used to be, you ha e to go looking for them now. I wouldnt worry

No, Larry, sit down! I said sit down Larry!

Come on, Madge, I wanna dance with you!

No Larry, you're embarrassing me! I don't wanna dance with you!

Aww suit yourself, Madge! Come 'ere, Penelope!

Sit back down, Lar-WHAT THE HELL, LARRY! AND I'M STILL HERE! Screw this! Come on Richard, what are you waiting for, next Christmas??

Madge! I thought you didn't want to dance!

Oh fuck off Larry, I've got Richard now, you go dance with that vamp of yours!

For whatever reason, this reminded me of a minor story from a few years back. The gist is a soldier asked Mila Kunis to a military ball publicly, and I think she eventually accepted. Another soldier asked Betty White, who politely declined because she already had plans. The soldier said regarding his invite to Betty White:

“She’s funny, she’s sweet, she’s mature. She’s the all-around perfect woman,” Sgt. Lewis said of White. “I really think we’d have a good time. I’m fun, you know. … I think I can make her laugh. I think she can make me laugh. I think we can laugh together." Adding, “So, call me!”

Honestly, if I were one of those soldiers, I'd rather spend the evening with Betty White than Mila Kunis (keeping in mind it's not like sleeping with Mila Kunis was on the table). I think it would be vastly more entertaining.

But....the average man actually thinks that there is a chance with Kunis. Ahhh hope springs.

But.. is there a chance with White?..

[–]Leaves_Swype_Typos 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)
