A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. The SmartRazor shown in the video is one of our working prototypes. The challenge is to transition from prototypes to full production units. We have put together a great team to do this with lead Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Designers that are top in their fields. We also partnered with the largest Electronics and Components supplier and we are very happy to have them. They have been instrumental in setting up our manufacturing in one of their best factory partners in the USA. Also on the team is Panasonic - we are thrilled that they will be SmartRazor's power source and they have helped us greatly through these pre-production phases.
Once funded, our manufacturing team are saying approximately 9 months to be mass producing SmartRazors but it could go to 12 months depending on variables in the mold building, machinery needed and material and electronics supply chain. As with all product manufacturing projects, unforeseen delays and issues with the process of production may happen. However we have manufactured other products and inventions for many years so we have experience in production and working with engineers, designers, suppliers and factories. We are confident that we will meet the challenges to come and we know we will deliver the highest quality product by or in the last quarter of 2017. We are proud Americans and we are making our best efforts to keep the manufacturing here in the USA.
