I saw the whole Netherlands vs France game and thought I should give those people who missed the game, an idea of how our players played.

The best first -

POGBA - He had a very very good game. He was playing a similar position to where he was in the Euros. partnered with Matuidi in the midfield, he saw a lot of the ball and dictated play brilliantly. His vision and skill to play long through-balls with his left foot so accurately is something that amazed me today. Highly disciplined performance from him today and I really think playing under Mourinho has helped him improve in that deep midfield role. Also had a quality goal

Memphis - Was brought on in the 17th minute due to a player being injured. He took some time to settle into the game and was quite decent throughout. He had some great touches and flicks by the touchline but lacked the end product. There were a few instances around the 88th minute where he really should have taken a shot but tried a difficult one-two instead. Didn't really help that France has a great defence today and Varane and Koscielny are quite quick. His delivery from set pieces were quite good and it could have resulted in a goal or two with better forwards. He does look a much better player compared to last season and I really think he needs more game time to gain confidence. Also had two shots on target which were the Dutch's only shots on target.

Blind - Daley had a pretty average day at the office (Played as LB). Some of his passing was very good as it usually is. Did commit often to tackles that he completely missed and left the team vulnerable to counter attacks down the left hand side. Tried a lot of long balls at the death of the of the game and was fairly accurate. Also got in a few crucial interceptions.

Martial - He came in around the 68th minute and was quite invisible for a while. But that was perhaps because Netherlands had a majority of possession for that period of time. Tried to attack whenever he had the ball and looked dangerous on the counter. He had a great one-two with Pogba that could have ended as a goal but Pogba chose a bad pass to Gignac. In injury time, he showed great pace and skill on the counter to reach the Dutch penalty box but lost possession there while trying too much. Solid few minutes of game time, however.

Bonus -

Eric Bailly - I saw Eric's match yesterday with the Ivory Coast. He was partially at fault for the first and only goal they conceded. He was in between the ball and the striker trying to block him, but the striker slightly overpowered him and got a shot off that resulted in a goal. His team scored 3 goals in the next 20 minutes and went on to win the match, however.
