They obviously got what they wanted with mods, regardless of Beth's stonewalling.

Likely the just pointed out the fact that the majority of console players do so on PlayStation.

Bethesda knew they couldn't get away with keeping mods locked for another game.

Bethesda wants external assets.
Sony doesn't.

They were putting pressure on Sony in the hopes that they would cave and let us have a better modding experience. Sony "putting Bethesda in their place" means PS4 players who wanted mods get f***ed over.

It means the gaming experience on the PS4 is still like a pre-gen console like the PS3, cause Sony isnt growing with the times.

Yeah, as far as I can tell Beth wanted to "get away" with giving PS4 users access to mods that use external assets. That would've been a good thing: it would've allowed you to download some great mods.

When it comes to mods Beth are a forward thinking dev, they want people to have access to as many mods as possible. Beth.net had hundreds of FO4 PS4 mods which used external assets, they were all removed after the announcement that the PS4 wouldn't get mods. I imagine now they will slowly start showing again but due to Sony those mods will be more limited.

I guess the downside is the mods we get will be less likely to crash the game...

Wait..

You'd think so, right?

That's cute.

It's also wrong. XD

funny how some think that they put beth in their place.

more like Beth won and put sony in their place (or close to it).

Sony needs to get with the times and expand or die.

that's why M$ is kicking their asses.

^^^ This

Sony put their customers in their place by making it clear they don't give a damn about us. There's no way to sugar coat it.

not to mention they'll block the payment card used if they have to refund an unintended renewal of a person's ps+ account.
