Girl, you do realize that you just contradicted yourself in your first two paragraphs right? Also I hope you realize that you sound like some huge hypocrite as well.

For the record, I have had nothing against you and have always found your posts amusing needless to say after reading your personal blog, you sound like a complete nut-case.

Just because you were a hostess does not at all make you know the “other side” of things. I also worked in a hostess club as well as at a snack and spent 5-6 years straight working the nightlife of Minami as a bartender at various clubs and bars and occasionally still do, but I don’t go around claiming that I know everything, because, I don’t. Working as a hostess really amounts to nothing. You get paid to drink with and occasionally get groped by disgusting old men. Good on you! Try working at a typical night club, or with/for the yakuza or being affiliated with brothel owners, pushers, Latin American drug lords living in Japan, etc. then you can come back and tell me that you know what is really going on in the “night scene” of Japan.

Sure, I don’t know shit about Kabukicho and I am sure as hell glad that I don’t because it sounds like it is full of drama as well as a bunch of stupid-ass foreigners running about trying to sleep with hosts just to say they did.

The fact that you are going to lump all these “other host blogs” into one category and tell everyone that our advice shouldn’t be taken because we have “fucked up our lives” for the sake of hosts, do you somehow think that your advice is superior? Contradiction much? Because didn’t YOU pretty much fuck up your life for the sake of hosts? Honestly when reading your replies and posts, it just sounds like a girl scorned or someone that is completely negative and jaded, especially for someone who doesn’t have a solid job, constantly complains about her life, can’t afford to see a doctor for her health issues because she lacks insurance, etc.

Let me explain my “fucked up life” for everyone here. I have been living in Japan for 7+ years, I work a solid 8am to 5pm job from Monday to Friday at a well-known Japanese company doing sales and translation as well as advertisement and graphic design. This job provides me with pension as well as social insurance, paid holidays, business trips, occasional bonuses, and oh my god I even recently enrolled myself in life insurance and can afford it! I even happen to co-own my own bar in Minami, organize and help out at club events and music festivals and have a ton of friends and people that respect me for who I am and what I do.

Yes, my life is so fucked up because of hosts…

When did I ever “glamorize” host clubs? Have I ever stated on my blog that “OMFG YOU ALL SHOULD GO TO HOST CLUBS!!!” No, I haven’t. My reason for keeping this blog is for people to have an insight into this strange world that Japan has to offer. I do not advise, nor do I condemn anyone for going to or wanting to go to host clubs or for even having an interest in it for that matter. I have stated numerous times that my reason for going to host clubs is NOT to sleep with hosts or attempt to start any kind of relationship with hosts either. I go because I enjoy the atmosphere and it is also a place where no one knows me and I can just relax and be myself unlike other bars or clubs where I am constantly running into customers from my own bar, previous jobs, etc.

You can rant about how fucked up hosts are and how they are all assholes, but you placing all hosts into one category just makes you look stupid. Hosts are also normal human beings and like everyone else, there are good and bad ones. Yes, I have a tantou and he is not an asshole, I got to see him once, at the most twice a month. We enjoy drinking together and he keeps me in check. With this I mean, he pays for a bottle out of his own pocket and we drink that along with water and I just pay for my time there, which even if I surpass my time limit he doesn’t make me pay for encho. We’ve done after once in order to watch a world cup game at a Brazilian bar and I asked to dohan once which he told me we shouldn’t because I would be required to spend a certain amount of money at the club and he didn’t want me to do that. Does this sound like an asshole to you? Does it sound like I am putting my life at stake for this host?

Even if your post was not directly aimed at me, it’s still fucked up that you think you are “superior” to everyone else here blogging about hosts and host clubs. Seeing as how you “hate” hosts so much, why even continue updating your blog? Why would someone that has so much anger and spite towards hosts want to end up with one? Your whole life is one big fucking contradiction.

I have never met you, and you do not know me. I also wasn’t talking about anyone (you or your so called friends). I was simply telling everyone to respect themselves. Is that a bad thing?

I haven’t even lived in Tokyo for 7 years, so that shows how much you know what you’re talking about when trying to slander me.

Calling me a nut-case is no better, and my personal life and blog has nothing to do with what I wrote or with my host blog in general.

So you worked at a foreigner bar in Minami? Great. That means you don’t know anything. The Japanese hostess clubs in Kabukicho are directly connected with the yakuza and the host clubs, so yes, I do know a lot more than I talk about. I don’t talk about those things because I’m not an idiot.

I didn’t say anything about other host blogs in general, or anything. I never even mentioned you and did not have you in mind when I wrote that post, but the fact that you thought it was about you shows that you must be doing something you aren’t proud of…
