Bob Dole 1996 is happening, but with an even shittier candidate. They're moving funds to House and Senate races. No way in hell is Donnie stepping down. Considering gerrymandering, the media and the astute observation of Zhou Enlai that Americans are lacking in historical memory, the GOP will take a hit, but keep on chugging along like a zombie.

I do think Trump lost Utah tonight. The current governor Gary Herbert and representative Jason Chafetz pulled their support tonight. Senator Mike Lee and former governor Jon Huntsman called for Trump to step down.

For what it's worth, Utah is fairly monolithic. And having their most important political figures all come out today (along with Romney's longstanding repudiation) is worth something.

It doesn't mean Hillary will win the state. It's probably going to be a two or three way race with Hillary having a slight edge by default of her support not changing much. But Evan McMullin probably rises to a close second as republicans flee Trump, and Johnson and Trump himself fighting for scraps.

Is the GOP dying? No. They hold both houses and governorships and state legislatures.

Is Trump murdering them? He's trying to

They hold them right now. Who knows what'll happen during the election. I can't wait to see the polls for the Senate in a week.

The GOP has enabled its own murder. It steadfastly ignored anyone who told them they had moved way off the map to the Right.

We had most of the same Right-wing clowns in the GOP clown car as 2008/2012, but with the addition of uber-clown Trump.

Like a used-car salesman, Trump will Bullshit you any way he can as long as it benefits Trump... no matter who gets hurt.

Add in the Alt-Right, The Religious crazies, stir, and you pretty much have a witches brew that appealed to all the racist, misogynist, bible thumping assholes he could find turning over rocks.

What takes the GOPs place is unclear at present, but can't survive Trump as it presently exists.
