I've always noticed that fans at matches across all Premier League teams dress significantly different from fans that attend sporting events in the US. Namely, its seems that a) fans don't usually wear kits and b) fans don't try to wear street clothes that match their team's colors. I understand that kits aren't worn often because it's usually too damn cold for short sleeves, but I've seen plenty of crowd shots at United matches with fans wearing blue, green, etc but not red? Typically in the US I think it's fair to say that if you don't own a team jersey, you'd wear a team shirt or at the very least something that matches the team's colors. Is this just a cultural difference or am I missing something else?
