Flat earth is not a scientific theory. It is a hypothesis at absolute best. It in no way shape, form, function, definition ect. Meets the rigor required to be classified as a scientific thoery.

First, I should point out that Porter Beach is 20 miles from Chicago, not 44. You can see the Chicago skyline because for a 5 foot tall person standing on the beach, any structure in Downtown Chicago taller than 200 feet is visible. All the tall buildings in Chicago are much taller than 200 ft.

An easy method to detect the curvature of the earth that doesn't require a PhD of any kind and that doesn't come from any governmental body, is simply the Eratosthenes experiment

Here is a link to the experiment.

You can also observe the path of the sun that always rises in the east and sets to the west. If the Earth were flat as you claim, and the sun 3000 miles above the ground, the sun would never set, and would never appear less than 22.5° 24.5° above the horizon. The sun's angular size would also dramatically change over the course of a day, which it doesn't.

They say refraction but I don't buy it.

Confirmation bias. You simply rejecting explanations because you don't like them isn't doing science.

are all shrouded in inexplicable and incomprehensible math and equations and theories that no average layperson can even begin to understand.

Speak for yourself.

Can you show me any undeniable evidence that the world is a sphere that doesn't come from NASA or any other government body and does not require a PHD in astrophysics to understand.

There are 2 Celestial Poles.

As you travel around the planet different stars are visible but the stars do not change in size or brightness, meaning distance cannot explain the change.

Both of those facts make the Flat Earth impossible and the Round Earth the only explanation and neither requires math or anything other than simple observation.

Gravity, it does not require a PhD in physics to understand the concept, only high school physics.
