Sidenote: I was listening to a really fantastic podcast the other day (Unscrewed) and the sex educator on there was talking about how we kind of read back all our baggage around "masturbation" onto infants. A little kid touching themself is not loaded with all of the associations that an adult touching themself is; even at 9 or 12 the associations are different. It's almost not even the same activity.

That's kind of a misnomer. Most people have masturbated, regardless of sexuality.

Asexual doesn't mean experiences no pleasure from genital simulation. Most asexual people I have met have and do masturbate. Asexuality means different things to different people but to most it is about sexual attraction and desire for sex which is separate from masturbation (even though they are usually linked)

My initial comment was badly formulated and written in a hurry. Just wanted to reassure OP that she isn't a freak for her body response, OP thinks herself that the whole thing is immoral, uncomfortable and unacceptable. And I wanted to tell OP to talk to a specialized person.

All that is of course immoral but the situation itself is very weird (her gf's kid has some heavy issue with her body that obviously affects negatively her social life) and there isn't an immediate appropriate response that can be formulated on reddit except "don't hang yourself out of disgust and shame and see a specialist"

Mistake from me for not having thought of the bad consequences such a quickly and badly written comment could have.
