The irony.

The irony lies with the fact that the majority of Muslim countries actively slaughter homosexuals. Spin all you want. Doesn't change the fact that homosexuals preaching tolerance in America, are the same type of person thrown off tops of buildings in the middle east.

We are not living in the majority of Muslim countries, we are living in America, and the problem with "Islamophobia" that I am concerned about as an American is it's affects on Muslim Americans.

What a Nationalist thing to say. Where's your compassion?

And you mean evangelical protestants. With the exception of Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, all Christian denoms in your source are more supportive than Muslims. And Christians would never systematically kill homosexuals.

In your link both groups oppose homosexual marriage but Christians are slightly more opposed. That's ironic.

Doesn't that make their argument more evocative not weaker?

No, because they refuse to acknowledge that the bottom picture happens, and that many of the muslims in the west feel the same (that homosexuals = bad).

You can't judge their logic because they will not accept the fact that muslims, as a whole, don't like them. To draw a comparison, imagine someone tells you they are vehemently against the TPP, yet don't know, and refuse to learn, the provisions (looking at you, Bernie people). To make this analogy more accurate, they simply "know" what some hack of a journalist told them about it. You wouldn't seriously value that person's input becauee they have no idea what they're talking about.

This is like the TPP example. The far left lumped other "minority groups" together such that they can all push common issues together, i.e. the giant "oppressions" that they all face. If you sat one homosexual down and threw all the facts at them about '"moderate Islam" and its view on them, the logical conclusion is that it's incompatible.

I actually had the conversation with a lesbian extended family member who said she wasn't sure how she could reconcile feminism and muslim immigration. She had all the facts, but still wanted someone else to confirn that it was okay to be skeptical of non-westerners who disapprove of western values immigrating here. She's very far left, as are all her friends. She never gave this issue a thought until the Orlando shooting. Things like that wake some people up fast.

Well, at least to me, it indicates that they're pretty fucking stupid and don't understand just how incompatible Islam is with their sexuality.

I lived in a pretty liberal country in the Middle East for a while, and the locals who were aware enough of international issues were consistently puzzled why the LGBT community considered themselves "allies" of Islam - because even in this liberal Islamic country, you'd still be jailed for being homosexual.

Paired with their propensity to label as hate anything short of pure acceptance and condonement of their values and lifestyle, yeah it's darned weak.

Look no further for proof that the left has been manipulated into a suicidal movement

Libertarian here so, take with a grain of salt. I don't see the issue here. Funny in a dark sense but hardly a criticism of the LGBT folks. It seems to me that if you think reciprocal tolerance is the only valid form of tolerance, then yeah, weak argument. But if tolerance is meant to be one way, at least to start, that bravery is in tolerating despite someone else's bigotry, then I don't see what's wrong with being gay and being opposed to islamophobia. Assuming islamophobia means fear of Muslims/islam in contrast to just bring against Islam. One can be critical Of Islam and Islamic countries and be critical of islamophobia right?

Nope. Any criticism will result in you being labeled an eeeeeevil islamophobe.

Not just that but they will also tell you that you hate all Muslims too.

As a gay republican, the fact that something so horribly composed can be up voted is disgusting. I refuse to up vote anything with this goddamn much jpeg
