I think it's the shittest idea I've ever heard. Pure self serving selfish bullshit

The greatness of English football is that teams in the 3rd and the 4th tier can still get 10,000 people through the gate every week and those people are every bit as passionate as fans of big clubs.

Teams like Huddersfield, Oldham and Rochdale are just as important as PL sides and don't deserve to be push aside so clubs owned by billionaires can play their reserves instead.

It's a fucking disgraceful idea that goes completely against everything football is about.

I don't see how any match going fan who actually understands English footballing culture could want this

Maybe you are right or maybe you are wrong.
There is no vast difference between Football in Germany and Football in England and this system working well for German Football.

If you compare about attendance 3. Liga (German 3rd tier league)have same amount of average attendance compared to league one!

Speaking to a German guy I know from work who's super into his football, he says that lower tier German football is nothing compared to what it's like in England. He says it's much healthier here with better attendance and better atmosphere and more people caring about the result.

Gonna make a rebuttal against Butt's comment that if you're not in the team by 20 then you never will be. What about Lingard? He only just got called up by Van Gaal when he was 21, then got a year long injury and so had his next call up at 22. Now he's a valuable member of the squad (maybe not a long term starter but whatever) at 23/24.
