Are they counted on Election Day or beforehand? Seems like a lot of work for one day, but the process could be open to fraud over longer periods (Sign Switchers, the weather, etc)
Also, are they counted on a state-by-state basis, or added onto the electoral vote total at the end? Since 270 is enough to win, seems like yard signs could be a tipping point for either candidate.
