It then cuts to past clips of the Republican ticket making the comments in question.
In one section, Kaine is shown saying "Donald Trump and Mike Pence have said [Russian President Vladimir Putin is] a great leader," before Pence replies, "No we haven't."
The video then cuts to a clip of Trump talking about how Putin has been a "very strong leader for Russia," and Pence saying that Putin had been a "stronger leader in his country" than President Obama had been for the U.S.
Kaine also highlighted comments made by Trump regarding punishing women for having an abortion — comments Trump later walked back — and suggesting more nations should develop nuclear weapons.
"He is asking everybody to vote for somebody that he cannot defend," Kaine is shown saying at the end of the video, as Pence shakes his head.
"It's okay Mike," the video says in text at the end. "We'd have a hard time defending him, too."
