Hello everyone.
It is with sadness that I tell you that tomorrow I will be shutting down librechan.
It was always my goal to have the site as free as possible, as privacy-friendly as possible, and transparent as possible. And that if I could not meet all those goals, I would rather see the site die an honorable death than go on to be something it isn't.
This is due to recent requests from the host and LEA to heavily censor content. I do not have the money or time to continue to bounce around through different hosts.
The world is changing, for the worse. Censorship is becoming more frequent. And unforunatly I can not continue this project any more. We were always open source, if someone wants to continue the work, you can find the current source code here https://gitlab.com/potion/librechan/ .
Please continue to do your best to only support imageboards or networks that respect your freedom. Donate to projects like Tor. I will continue to help in whatever way I can, and I will continue work toward this goal. I am sorry librechan had to end, I wish I could continue it much longer.

As for more restrictions, I'd have to delete boards like /hebe/ and /cutegirls/. That's jim-level, not pre-jim. But I believe that will just lead to a slippery slope to having more boards demanded to be deleted, by the ignorant people who do not understand imageboards.
