Question about Angel Gomes (self.reddevils)

Good afternoon lads, I've seen alot of content lately about Angel Gomes but to be fair I don't really follow our academy, so I was wondering to those of you who do, have we had a prospect so highly rated in the last few years, or in recent times at all?

His stats are really good and I was wondering if any of our youth players were as highly rated as him at some point, and at his age. Pogba? Morrison? I know TFM came here when Van Gaal was in charge and he was highly rated by many, but I'm not sure to what extent.

Those you mentioned were all rated highly to the same extent as Angel apart from tfm, where there was a little less hype

Gomes at 16 is as highly rated as those players you mentioned were at 18. Possibly even more highly rated. But it means nothing how highly rated they are at that age. Just look at how different the careers of Pogba, Januzaj and Ravel turned out.
