The winger has struggled to find his form since joining Manchester United last summer from PSV Eindhoven for £26 million and hasn’t made a single start in the Premier League so far this season. Jose Mourinho has only given the young Dutchman 12 minutes of league action and one start in the league cup against Northampton.
However, speaking to Dutch newspaper ‘MetroNieuws’, Memphis has vowed to fight for his place and maintained that Manchester United is his “dream club.”
He said, “Mourinho has expressed his confidence in me. Personally, but also in the press.
“I feel like a loaded gun but I have to wait for my chance in the first team. I am at my dream club and I want to fight for my place.”
