I talked to a HS friend recently who went to a memorial back home of a mutual friend who passed from a heart attack at 43. He mentioned how everyone was doing. Kids, wives, jobs, etc. ImI'm 43, single never married. No kids. I sometimes feel sad and lonely, like life has passed me by. I've had some professional and financial frustrations that has exacerbated things too TBH.

But I then met a neighborhood 63 year old friend drinking coffee who was also single never married no kids. He seemed to be one of the happiest, outgoing and nicest guys around. Another friend of his then sat down who was 83 years old and mentioned that he had 2 or 3 uncles who never married. This guy also mentioned that his own son was on his 2nd wife, who in constant argument with the guys son.

Do any of you second guess being in this unmarried kidless state, either voluntarily or involuntarily? And if so how do you get out of it? Thanks!
